Graphics:

  • Major visual updates. Post-processing effects have been added.
  • Bloom can be toggled in Settings.

Inventory:

  • Added a separate 'Stash' consisting of four slots.
  • Function of the 4-slot stash:
  • Used for storing inventory items for later use.
  • Cannot be brought with you into Arena or main stage battles.
  • When inventory is full, items will be sent to stash.
  • Items can be sold from inventory and stash and swapped back and forth respectively, but items can only be purchased to inventory.

Arena:

  • Major changes. Added boss battles. There are many all-new Threats (bosses) in the Arena. They will appear at the end of waves.
  • Defeating a Threat will grant one of three random Perks (similar to receiving Favors in stage battles).
  • There are 21 total unique Perks in the Arena, many resemble those available in stage battles.
  • New Arena enemies: support and spellcaster type enemy units will now appear in the Arena.
  • Arena provides a separate levelling experience. A new additional EXP bar (gold) is displayed below the main player level to accompany this.
  • Added two new music pieces to the Arena.
  • Added ambient visual effects (light rays, wisps)
  • Added Arena event 'destroy the flag'. This event will appear randomly throughout the Arena playthrough and will grant a special chest if the event is completed in the given time limit.
  • Units evenly spawn across left and right side of the Arena.

Favors:

  • Updated Favor visuals to closely match the rest of the game's aesthetics.

Audio:

  • When the current background music track reaches the end, it will shuffle to a random track.

Treasure Hall:

- Added a new reward system called 'Treasure Hall' to accompany the Arena updates. - Treasure Hall grants you reward chests as you increase your Arena level. The rewards from this area are among the most powerful available in the game. - Navigation: cycle through the treasure hall with mouse drag / left and right arrow keys / on-screen arrow buttons - More than 60 rewards are available in the treasure hall, with many exclusive rewards.

Gold Talents:

  • Gold Talents are now achieveable in Tower Rush (found in Treasure Hall).
  • Gold Talents are provided as follows:
  • When a Gold Talent treasure box is found, it will provide a selection from one of three Gold Talents to pick from, based on the following: the system will check to see if the Silver version is owned, followed by checking if the Bronze version is owned. If it finds the Talent in the order specified, it will display the Gold Talent version. Otherwise, it will randomly select a Gold Talent from the list of unlearned Talents.
  • Once a Gold Talent is chosen, the silver or bronze versions (if owned) will be replaced with the Gold Talent.

Settings:

  • Synchronized all settings options across Home / Stage / Arena menus.
  • Added Bloom visual effect. Can be toggled under Settings > Graphics.
  • Added Lighting visual effect. Can be toggled under Settings > Graphics.

Guardian Menu:

  • Selecting a Guardian ability will display the description in all popups.

  • Each time a unit upgrade token is consumed, a unit gains 8 health, 0.5 attack and 0.4 armor.
  • Hovering over a unit during battle to see its description will indicate the number of enhancements made to the unit as well.

Settings:

  • Settings options should now fully save between stage / game loads.

Added new units - Catapults!

  • Catapults cost income to recruit just like normal units as indicated next to their icon.
  • Catapults contribute to the unit cap limit.
  • They have high armor and health. They deal low splash damage to enemies but very high damage to towers.
  • They have a very large attack range, but will only engage in battle if there are units pushing ahead.
  • If your forces are pushed back to your towers, catapults will not engage enemies until you begin pushing ahead.
  • Rank 1 Catapult: Wooden Catapult. High range, low damage to enemies but very high damage to towers.
  • Rank 2 Catapult: Thrapper Catapult. Releases a wave of rocks in rapid succession.
  • Rank 3 Catapult: Spiked Catapult. Charges forward at incredible speed, smashing into enemies and shooting spikes.

Guardians:

  • Improved Castien's 'Frenzy' ability damage.

Arena:

  • Reduced gold gain from killing enemies in Arena.
  • Reduced the 'Bruiser' unit ability damage. (Unit that flies overhead and pounces down on an area).
  • Enemies now display star-rating next to their health.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed Divine Herald ability 'Orb of Absorption' from having a permanent effect.
  • Fixed Favor 'Quick Hire' from resetting previously earned unit upgrades.

Gameplay:

  • Reworked enemy spawning functionality. Excluding bosses, enemies now may display a star rank next to their health that indicates if they have grown stronger during battle.
  • At the start of each stage, most enemies will not have a star rank but as you progress and get closer to conquering towers, you will find that enemies will get stronger over time.
  • The longer a stage takes to win, the harder it may get to defeat it.

  • Calamity Strike: Durheim turns invulnerable for a few seconds, striking rapidly in a small area.
  • Argoth and Durheim have a new 'special' auto-attack which lets them attack twice in succession

Units:

  • Warrior units now have a new 'special' auto-attack animation which should give them a slight boost in overall damage output.
  • Support units have a small increase in armor

Home Screen:

  • Guardian menu overhaul! Guardians now cast their abilities in the Guardian menu and everything should be looking more lively in that area!
  • Argoth, Nomia, Castien and Oryn are unlocked (free) by default. Durheim and other future Guardians will cost gems to unlock.

    Hotfix:

    • Added manual screen panning! (left / right). Move mouse to edge of screen to pan, click ' auto-pan' to pan automatically disable.
    • Bbetter scaling of player unit damage and health. player units also get stronger in real-time as they level up.
    • Hovering over units while in battle now displays their name over the hiring button
    • Pressing spacebar now pauses/unpauses the battle
    • Argoth's images are fixed to be more crisp on Hero selection menu

    • Fixed bosses spamming their ability names endlessly
    • fixed unit level scaling issue
    • All units now scale in damage and health based on your level (just like Argoth was scaling). This means monsters will be getting progressively harder each stage.
    • Towers now increase in health each stage and have increased armor each stage.
    • Hovering over units or monsters in battle will display that unit's attack and armor and updates in real-time
    • Fixed critical bug with shop items not stacking when purchasing after already having the exact one in inventory
